“Gender-based violence is one of the most pervasive and yet least- recognized human rights abuses in the world.”- Anonymous.
In celebration of UNWomen’s and Zonta International’s 16 Day campaign to end gender-based violence, the Mariano Marcos State University’s College of Teacher Education Golden Z Club, the Philippines, stands by the fact that no person should ever be worn down and violated. Together, we say NO to Violence and YES to love and kindness. The club teamed up with the Zonta Club of Ilocos Norte to advocate valuing human rights and striving for equality.
Starting last 25 November, the officers, members and interested participants included a special frame in their Facebook profile pictures as part of the 16 Days of Activism. This activity will last until 10 December, but the advocacy shall carry on.
